Domestic CCTV installation

A home CCTV system is cameras where they'll actually see something, cabling that will last outdoors, and a recorder set up so you can look at it from your phone. Getting the positions right is most of the job.

What's involved

A walk round to agree camera positions, cabling run neatly and protected outside, cameras and recorder fitted and configured, and the app set up on your phone before we leave.

“George did a great job installing Ring floodlight cameras and a Ring siren to the exterior of our house. He also did a few other electrical jobs which we've been wanting to get done for some time. Very helpful, courteous and friendly. Communication was great - he didn't expect you to stay in all day for when he decided to show up like many trades people I've had in the past. All his work was spot on with a great finish and tidied up after as well. George is definitely my new go-to electrician!”

Domestic CCTV: common questions

Wired or wireless?

Wired cameras are more reliable and don't need charging or a strong Wi-Fi signal at the camera. Wireless suits spots where a cable genuinely can't go.

Can I watch it on my phone?

Yes. The recorder connects to your router and the app is set up as part of the installation.
