New installations, extensions and kitchen electrics

New building work needs new circuits, and a kitchen refit needs more sockets and dedicated supplies than the old one had. We work alongside your builder or kitchen fitter so the electrics are in the right place at the right stage.

Extensions and new builds

First fix while the walls are open: cables, back boxes and the routes for lighting. Second fix once it's plastered: sockets, switches, fittings and the connections at the board. Certified and notified at the end.

Kitchens

Dedicated circuits for ovens, hobs and appliances, sockets where you actually use them, under-cabinet and ceiling lighting, and the isolation switches a kitchen needs to pass inspection.

“Excellent work fitting an outside ducted extractor fan in our kitchen, reasonable rates and a good clean job.”

Installations & extensions: common questions

When should the electrician come in on an extension?

Before the plasterboard goes on for first fix, and after plastering for second fix. Tell us the build programme and we'll fit around it.

Can my existing consumer unit take the new circuits?

Sometimes. If it can't, a replacement or an extra board is quoted as part of the job rather than found out later.
