Commercial electrical work, lighting and power

We work for shops, offices, warehouses, schools and car parks, from a single new socket to relighting a whole site. That includes the compliance side too: commercial EICRs and emergency lighting, with the paperwork an insurer or landlord will ask for.

Commercial lighting

LED upgrades that replace old fluorescent fittings: high bay lights in warehouses and workshops, entrance and office lighting, shop window displays, and floodlighting for car parks and sports grounds. LED fittings give more light and cost less to run.

Street and car park lighting

Damaged lamp post columns replaced and lanterns refitted, and new LED floodlights on existing posts. We're IPAF trained, so the work at height from a powered access platform is done by us too.

Three-phase power

New three-phase supplies and distribution boards for machinery, workshop equipment and banks of EV charge points for a company fleet.

Emergency lighting

Installation, inspection and routine testing of emergency lighting and exit signs, with every test logged for your fire risk assessment.

EICRs and testing

Periodic inspection and testing of commercial installations, sometimes called a fixed wire test, with the certificate your insurer or landlord will ask for.

Commercial: common questions

Do you do shop fitting?

Yes. Power, data and lighting for a new layout: counters moved, desk sockets with USB and data points, trunking run neatly along the walls, and window display lighting. Work can be planned around your opening hours.

Do you do dilapidations work?

Yes. At the end of a lease we make the electrics good to the dilapidations schedule: stripping out the tenant's fit-out, making circuits safe, reinstating lighting and power, then testing and certifying. Send us the schedule and we'll quote against it.

How often should emergency lighting be tested?

A short monthly function test and a full-duration annual test, with the results logged. We can set the schedule up and carry out the routine tests for you, as well as the annual inspection.

Do you work outside trading hours?

Yes, so the work doesn't stop trade. We've relit a shopping centre square overnight and fitted shop window lighting after closing. Tell us what suits when you get in touch.
